MM Pain Management Center is a specialized Anti-Cancer clinic that practices Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Sacramento, CA.

TCM is a practical medical system developed in China about 3000 years ago. Its core theory is to uphold the good and suppress the evil through strengthening the immune system. TCM is the understanding of the human body based on the “holistic understanding of the universe.” TCM is the comprehension of how the human body interacts with all aspects of life and the environment including the seasons, time of day, the weather, diet, and emotions. The harmony of body, mind, and spirit is physiology; a disharmony of body, mind, and spirit is pathology. Restoring the harmony of the body from disharmony of the body is the aim of TCM. The typical TCM therapies include herbal medicine, acupuncture, dietary therapy, psychological counseling, and exercises like medical Qigong and Tai Ji.

The history of anti-cancer treatments has been long established in TCM. The diagnosis and treatment of esophageal cancer began more than 2000 years ago. By 200 BC, there were experienced practitioners who documented treating lung cancer, stomach cancer, and liver cancer with success. The methods of treating cancer are diverse in TCM. Some methods detoxify by clearing internal heat (chronic inflammation) and suppressing the evil through supporting the good. The most common method was to cure cancer with poison, which is similar to chemotherapy in Western medicine.

TCM views cancer as an evil consequence. This evil consequence damages a healthy body in many aspects. Removing the tumor does not change the root issue. Cancer could recur or transform within the body. In order to cut off and eliminate the root cause of cancer, multiple methods should be applied. TCM anti-cancer herbal medicine is abundant and proven effectively in treating the root causes of cancer and other illnesses. Currently, there are more than 400 kinds of herbs that can directly contribute to anti-cancer treatment. TCM treatments can help promote drug tolerance and reduce side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Some patients refuse or do not have the ability to obtain mainstream treatments of surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy. Chinese herbal medicine can be effectively used to help such patients.
